News!

A week after the Railway Bar and Kitchen, sadly Alex failed to show for the Newmarket Battle of the bands, said he couldn't "do it anymore".
So he was out of the band, then Ben and Chevy decided to set up a new band, thinking they could do both, so 7thfade took a month out, to review and think, relax .......then a new singer, drummer and bass guitarist were recruited.
Sadly while all of this was going on 7thfade were to record for ITV, but had to decline.
The film The Clown has been completed and includes a track from 7thfade, who are currently writing new material, building up the diary for next year, so if you want 7thfade, book now!

Railway Bar and Kitchen, London

7thfade were back in London to perform, they didn't go down in a "limo", this time by mini bus driven by the manager, with the equipment, and some fans on board.

Alex was battling it out with a cold he'd caught from Chevy........Ben and Chevy were hyper, Nick was trying to assist the sat nav, on the navigation stakes.........that's another story!

The venue is literally next door to Tulse Hill rail station, and looks small from the outside.
Inside, wooden flooring, no stage, out the back door was a wonderful wooden verranda, which had steps going down to the beautiful garden.
There was quite a crowd there too.

The first band up was MMB from London (they're performing at The Jamm, on Friday 14th September at 8pm, tickets £6.00 in advance, and £8 at the door), no vocals a delightful Jazz band.
It was wonderful to see Zaid had managed to make it to the gig, all suited and booted, he's a lovely down to earth, hard working, friendly bloke, he's great.

The second and final band up of the night was 7thfade, as they went into their first song Aliens, the band captured the audiences attention, into fire, then covers by the Levellers and the White stripes, then dead or alive.

Alex's throat hurt, frustrated he threw his guitar down and went outside for some fresh air.

Nick explained about his cold, and sang Freedom.

It was obvious Chevy had the most room to himself on stage, while Ben could delicately move around, trying not to knock into Nick, Alex returned and straight into a 120mph Hurricane, he put his all into it.

The return journey home was knobbled with three lanes closed down to one, with traffic lights to add to the chaos, three junctions long on the road completely closed off so a "day tour" around the back roads too, once into Haverhill dropping the fans off as they went, finally made it to the garage, to unload all the equipment.

RIP

Oggfest, Barrow, Nr Bury St Edmunds

A wet Sunday afternoon, and 7thfade finally found the Weeping Willow, at Barrow, near Bury St Edmunds, where Oggfest was being staged.
Alex, Chevy and Ben took to the stage, there was a sense of electricity as they tuned up, straight into Aliens, the crowd clapped and cheered, the electricity was immense as the threesome went into fire, dream of roses, the showmanship was great, they looked natural, and enjoying it, feeling the songs as they performed one after the other, a little introduction before going into clockin' in, covers by the white stripes, the Levellers and finally Dead or Alive (Mrs Piggy Mr Sheep). The crowd liked them alot, whistles, cheers, claps...............
As 7thfade packed away, they were offered more gigs!
Please do come and see them!
Thank you to the organizers of the event, and everyone who came!

Private Party

7thfade were invited to perform at a private party on the 18th August, supporting Voodoo Hussy.
Nick the lead guitarist had been kidnapped to go on holiday for a week, 7thfade had to perform as a threesome.
They performed for 30mins, and what a great performance too, they adjusted some of the songs to accommodate the lack of a lead guitar, and it worked! They were brilliant.
Voodoo Hussy also put on a brilliant performance with the favourites "My box", "Swear I'm sorry" and "New world order".

Starting off with Aliens, Fire, Dream of roses, Clockin' in, then performed covers by the White stripes, and the Levellers, the crowd clapped and cheered, wanting more, so the final song of the night was the new song they've been working on Mrs Piggy Mr Sheep.
Thank you to Ken, his wife and all who came.
See you all again soon x
